Well what i can say on the matter is that you can activate your windows by
phone when you are ask to activate during windows setup or later time.

Now as far as windows update you  can order a  windows updates cd direct from
microsoft
this will enable you to upgrade win files  for win 98 win ME , win 2000, and
windows XP
This Cd  has all updaters  up feb 2004, includes latest directx, as well as
