Try the following:
1) use the latest nVidia driver (www.nvidia.com), none of other drivers can
beat nVidia reference driver in performance, stability and compatibility. I
always use reference drive on any nVidia based card which saves me a lot of
trouble.
2) Disable "CPU fan off when Standby" in BIOS, you should always make sure
to clear any possible heating problem.
3) download and install intel chipset driver, any chipset after BX should
have Intel driver installed to ensure computer function properly (eg. IDE
controller, power management, CPU to AGP bridge, CPU to PCI bridge, ...).
