Here's one answer for Jerry Hughs, who has posted this problem: "I got a problem
with a bjc-610 canon printer, I put a new ink cartridge (
all of them, black as well as the all 3 color ) in the printer and it
still say I'm out of Ink.  I've taken out the cartridge and re seated
them many times. I also took out the print head and re seated it too.  No
help."

Jerry, I had this happen once to a BJC600e. The print head had gone bad, and
replacing it solved the problem. It should be possible to get one.
