I have a HP 4020i. I got it when a relative threw it away. To get it to
work I opened it up and cleaned the lens and the laser component beneath
it with lint free tissues and plenty of Isopropyl Alcohol. Works well
till date. Since I live in Calcutta (India) it misbehaves and gives
coaster when it overheats during summer when burning a CD. Since I have
the PC Covers off anyway 90% of the time I usually cool it by pouring
water on it and swabbing it with a soggy wet hunk of cotton wool or rag.
