I have a computer with almost the same configuration you describe. P4
2.53GHz, 2 X 512MB 3200 RAM, 160GB WD drive, 120GB WD drive, Sony CDRW,
Liteon DVD, ATI 9500 Pro video card, XP Home. To power it all I have a 420W
Antec PS (your 300W PS is probably under powered and could be part or all of
your problem). I have an Asus P4SDX MB that has never given me a problem.
However, I don't know about Canadian availability.

Subject: [PCBUILD] motherboard

I have a computer with a mobo that won't take programs and causes lots of

problems. I understand from PC members that ASUS is one of the better boards
to use in a computer.

Given the specs listed below, can anyone recommend an ASUS mobo that I can
buy,

preferrably in Canada that will give me good service ?

OS Win2Kpro, CPU Intel Skt 478 P4 2.5Ghz 512K L2 Cache 400FSB

Accessories - - MEMORY - 2 X 512 MB 400Mhz DDR PC 3200

Hard Drive PATA 160Gb 7200rpm WD1600JB partitioned into 5 drives

CD-R/W GCE 8525B DVDRAM GSA-4081B Floppy 1.44 Sony

Power Supply 300W ATX ( I will change if need be. )

Many thanks for your help. AL SMITH
