Under start/run type in winipcfg, choose the adapter via the dropdown box,
the "adapter address" is the one you want. If you hit the "more info"
button at the bottom, you will get some other good information too. MAC
stands for Media Access Control.

Subject: [PCBUILD] MAC address

Good Morning all,
I have a computer that I want to get connected to an educational
internet feed, but need to provide the school with the machine
access code or "MAC address"
I know that I am looking for a 12 digit hexadecimal number, but
don't know where I should be looking. The particular computer I
need to find it on, has an integrated built-in LAN adapter that
according to the manual is MAC and PHY compliant. It is running
Windows 98.
        Any help would be appreciated.
