You can network the two computers and share the optical drive on one, and
attach to it over the network with the other. It is going to be slow though.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Optical Drive

I have two laptops running Windows XP, one with optical drive, one without.
Is it possible to use optical drive (read and write CD, read DVD) as
external drive for computer without drive?
