Kay,
there is no cable or adapter for your problem, however many printers have both USB and parallel
connections but only supply a USB cable. It is up to the user to purchase the parallel cable.
If you are sure yours doesn't have the parallel socket, a PCI/USB card is the answer providing your
operating system supports USB, also some older computers will not support it.
HTH,
Hal Seabolt

  Subject: [PCBUILD] USB converter question

I have a USB printer that I would like to run with an older computer
that only has a parallel port.

I've looked around and see there are USB to Parallel cables, but they
all say, so you can use a parallel printer on a USB port. This is
probably a stupid question, but does it work the other way around, or is
  this not a possibility?

  TIA,K
