I have read on the Iomega site that the disks are compatible on the 250M drive,
but you could expect a performance hit.  This is because the heads on a
250M drive are smaller to allow more data to be recorded on a 250M
disk. When writing to a 100M disk, it has to write the same track
more than once.  See the other answers for specs.
