Each partition on a disk is treated as a separate drive when it comes to
things like formatting. So yes, you can reformat one partition of a disk
without any effect on the other partitions.

In a large ( 80GB+0) divided into 3 or 4 partitions any way to format OR
erase one section without touching the others?? 15 or 20GB drives are sort
of hard to
find to use as a separate "C" drive. Thank you for the help. AL SMITH
