AMD-K6-2-550 vs K6-2-500
While searching for an upgrade CPU, I discovered the faster
chip was cheaper than the slower one. I think it is a problem
with the specs for the FSB, but can't find what I need at AMD.
Any comments, advise? My MB is a TYAN S1590S-100,
rev 4+ (Trinity 100 AT) and "is rated" to work with either...
Would the 95 FSB be less "taxing" on the RAM (PNY-PC-100),
or any other components? Minor speed differences are not a problem.
I have NO games and am going for maximum stability.
                    Thanks in advance, Rick
