I have AOL Broadband delivered via TimeWarner cable.
Initial installation of a cable modem to one pc went fine.
Then I installed a 4 port router, I had no problem
connecting w/ 2 computers, the third would not work. Went
back and forth with Speedstream, TimeWarner and AOL for 2
weeks, TimeWarner escalated the problem finally to a tech
familiar with this problem who identified it as bad registry
data that did not go away after deleting Win Explorer and
AOL. He suggested rebuilding the pc (not a solution for
me). I found the specific registry problem identified on
another web help site, edited my registry and reinstalled
Windows Explorer and AOL and all worked fine. Either do a
web search or contact me if David's suggestions don't clear
it up for you, I'll try to find the solution that worked for
me.
