Just to rule out the UPS causing the message, try booting up with the PC 
plugged directly into the wall outlet.

 From the message text it is probably not related to the CMOS battery.

I would normally say that I hope my suggestion helps, but in this case, 
if it is an UPS failure, it will likely result in spending $ to remedy.
