I work on those DP 2000's a lot here at the high school. The one's we work with here are the DP2000 166 MMX. is that what you have?
go to Compaq web site and download system rom up-dates for you mobo. the newest available is December '98.
f-disk the machine and remove all partitions (if applicable)...don't remove the non-dos one though...it contains the set-up and diagnostics...if you do remove it or if it's not there, you can download it from Compaq too.
format the drive, I'll bet it is 2 gig...then load win 98 and other software.
on the machines here, with 2 gig HD..I have a full install of 98 and office 2000, novel client software and other things...the machines still have .5 of a gig drive space available and they are little work horses.
good luck.

s, but they all seem to concern Solaris. How can this be done? Thank you for your service. Kurt Thomas
