Subject: [PCBUILD] I/O conflict at 3f8

Every time I boot up I get the following error message: "I/O conflict
3F8"

I am running windows 98 SE with an

I have checked under device manager. No conflicts or problems are
indicted and under "com ports" there is no problem indicated and the
comment is that there are no conflicts.

I am using a Microsoft PS2 mouse.

yet, when I attach a serial cable to com port 1 the mouse cursor is
frozen!!

Can any kind person give a clue as to how to rectify this conundrum?

Thanks.

Ron
