They did not. The pinouts on P-8, one of the motherboard connectors, are
different. On the XT pins 1 and two represent power ground and alignment
pin, and on the AT pins 1 and 2 represent power good and +5V.
P-9, the other motherboard connector has the same pinouts.

The pinouts for the disk drive connectors is the same.
