I was checking the archive of this list and couldn't locate any related information:
A second IDE "slave" drive was added to a PC and now everytime it's booted it goes directly to the DOS menu where you can choose "normal startup" and it loads Windows XP Home Edition.  Going into BIOS recognizes the second hard drive correctly.
What can be done so it can load Windows desktop? Msconfig will only show what loads after Windows starts---this just acts like you're pressing F8 to go into Safe Mode.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.
