Win 98 is no more stable than Win Me, so rather than go through a new
install of Win 98, I'd go get the updated drivers for my printer and my
scanner.  Reinstalling two peripherals with updated drivers is much easier
and less time-consuming than doing an Fdisk, reformat, and reinstalling all
your software and all your peripherals, especially since Win 98 is
definitely no improvement.  Do you have a Win 98 boot disk?  If so, in
answer to your last question, yes.  It might also work with a Win Me boot
disk, but I have no familiarity with what's on a Win Me boot disk.  If you
don't have a Win 98 boot disk, get a friend to make you one.

I have W ME with no partitions on the HD. I would like to make partitions
and add W98SE since my scanner and printer do not work with WME. This is the
solution I thought to apply. Also because WME is not that stable.
How do I do that?

I also thought about taking scanner and printer away and reinstall them with
the proper drivers for WME. But I still would like to have my W98 back.
Does WME support the installation of another OS like W2000?

If I format the HD and take WME away, will I still have the reading of my
floppy and CD-Rom so that I can install things?
