When I installed an external modem (with Robotics software) for my laptop (internal modem - Com2 - was out) it was set up for the (Com1) serial port. It works fine. However, the installation seems to have disabled the Com1 USB port I had been using for syncing my Palm. The mouse, connected to the other USB port, still works.

I tried disabling the external modem, reinstalling the Palm software, checking USB/port settings - still can't get the Palm to connect. What to do?

Rob
