Possibly,
        AMD K6-III require the 2.4 volt CPU setting.  If your motherboard can
handle a K6-2 450 MHz, at most you might need a BIOS upgrade.

What is the socket type of AMD K6-III?
Can it simply be a replacement of AMD K6-2 in the same motherboard?
