After loading the generic driver for my SiS 5598 chipset video from the SiS
website, Upon restarting I got the "blue screen" and the following message:

"A fatal exception 0D has occurred at 032F:00005603..."

The system then will not complete the Windows 98 start up without a reboot
which then tries to go into safe mode. When Windows loads my display will
not adjust past 640X480X16color res. without the same blue screen of death
appearing. The SiS website is no help, and the original manufacturer of the
PC (a Packard Bell) does not exist. If I'm not seriously mistaken I can
install a PCI graphics card, and please feel free to confirm or rebut that
conclusion.

Thanks for ANY help

David
