Try removing the DMA from your CD ROM. Many CD ROMs can not handle
bussmastering.
If you enable it on the hard drive and disable it on your CD ROM and you
still have problems then I would remove DMA all together and look for
bussmastering drivers for your particular motherboard and when I installed
I would enable only the ULTRA EIDE.
