The error message is just what it says.  You have more than one scanner
application on your system and one of them starts when you boot into
Windows.  This application has taken priority access to your scanner.  You
need to uninstall all your scanner applications and reinstall the one you use
the most first, then the next, until you find the one that is accessing your
scanner.

You can also type: MSCONFIG in your RUN box and check what applications
are in the startup section, unchecking all those that use the scanner.  Some
scanner applications like to start a small part of themselves so they are ready
when you access them.  In truth, this startup section of the application only
saves you a few seconds and uses valuable ram.
