Actually only the multiplier (6x in the case of the Celeron 400) is locked
on Celerons. I have a Celeron 400 and have ran it at 450 (6x75) and at 490
(6x83). The problem with this is that it also overclocks your
PCI/ISA/IDE/AGP ports so that your hard drive, video card, and all other
cards are being overclocked as well...unless you can get your CPU to post a
600 (6x100) then they would run at normal clock speed, but this requires
EXTREME cooling measures and has only been done by a very select few...

And to answer your original question, go for the BH6 or even better yet, the
BX6 REV. 2...I have an AOpen AX6Bc and it overclocks without a hitch...

Hi,
I know someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you
can do
this. As I understand it all Slot 1 CPUs are clocked-locked. i.e., they
run at the FSB times a preset unchangeable multiplier. Now all Celerons
run at an FSB of 66 MHz, so it is possible to overclock them my modifying
one of the "pins" so the FSB will run at 100 MHZ. The problem with this
though, is that will cause your CPU to run at an unchangeable 50% faster or
600 MHZ at your case, a speed which your CPU is probably not going to
handle.
