Fred,
Did you use the freeware version of Wingate or the latest shareware? Wingate
is not so difficult to set up after you do it once. It tells you which files
have to be copied to the client machines, and also how to enable/configure
the ports in the browser(Netscape/IE), mailer, telnet, etc. The service on
the host machine should start automaticaly at logon time. What problems did
you encounter?
Others that I have used are Sygate and Nat1000. I found NAT1000 the easiest
to set up. Configuration is on the host machine only. Client machines do not
need any setup. Do you have specific needs or questions, or maybe you could
describe your network?

Regards,
Dharam

Subject: [PCBUILD] proxy program

> We are looking for a good proxy program for internet access where one
machine is the gateway, I would appreciate any help you can give us. We have
tried using Wingate, but have had no luck with it, of course we could be
setting it up wrong.
