Hello Jason,

I have the KV200 mobo with Athlon 850 and 512 MB (Dimm 133MHz) with
IDE Raid. Note that win2000 Server is installed on common HDD 10GB
and IDE Raid 0 for second HDD 20GB (used as an archive). As I know IDE
Raid is installed not from BIOS Setup (here it can be only ENABLED)
but from Floppy with Raid drivers utility. Furthermore, in my case I
can install Raid drivers in any time I want to, however in your case
the Raid drivers should be installed before System installation. The only
problem occured with Raid was it's owerheating (two winchesters were
close to each other). I installed two coolers and the problem was solved.
The data were restored by Raid Health utility. In the Device Management
Console I often delete Raid and reinstal (no problems occured).

In my opinion it is very dangerouse to use IDE Raid for a system disk.
System can be reinstalled in any time you need, but data have to be
 stored on Raid.
