Thanks to Ms. Pierce I need to correct a serious error in my posting
about a the video dimming when the modem board is removed.  I had it
reversed in one sentence - sorry.  The video dims *only* when the modem
board is *not* plugged in.  When the modem board is in place (any slot)
the display is completely normal.  Connecting the phone line does not
affect the display.

Sorry for my confused description & thank you Ms. Pierce.
