Most PB computers that I have worked with use a riser card that comes off of
the motherboard that the peripherals plug into. This makes the case that they
use nonstandard because the peripherals are parallel to the motherboard when
installed. Most standard MBs have the peripherals plug directly into the them
so that they are perpendicular to them and the slots on the case are set up
for this.

You should be able to purchase an ATX case for around $20 - $25 then you
could use a standard ATX MB which is what you will be working with most of
the time (currently anyway ) .
