First don't replace the battery while the machine is running...now not
knowing how old your machine is there are a couple of ways of going
about this....there should be a battery on your motherboard that is flat
& round like a watch battery...now you can if possible take the numbers
off of that battery while it is still in the machine without removing it
or can get that information from the manuel on your motherboard if you
have that...if that doesn't work you can take the battery out to take
with you to buy a replacement but depending on your system...if you have
it out for 40 min or longer you will lose a lot of the settings...or
there should be a place on your motherboard depending on how old it
is....to put on an external battery....
