Thanks for advice.

After I do    XCOPY /R/I/C/H/K/E/Y C:\*.* E:\
should I do?  XCOPY /R/I/C/H/K/E/Y D:\*.* F:\

At what point do I make the partition active? Is this done using FDISK?

When do I set the drive parameters in the BIOS?
