I'm afraid that I don't have any first hand experience with these small form
factor systems, but it appears that the models from Shuttle have been well
received.  Other manufacturers are beginning to jump on this bandwagon,
which Shuttle really got rolling.  Sites like Anandtech often do reviews of
these systems.  In fact, if you browse down their list of articles, under
their system heading, http://www.anandtech.com/systems/, you'll see a number
of these systems reviewed.
