Hi Shawn,

I pulled the NIC out when this was happening to me last time.  Swapped it
with another computer (known working), left the cables the same as they
were, and the problem transferred.  So I just tossed the card.  At the hub,
during this, I noticed, via the pretty little lights :-), several
crashes/interference even when I though no data was being transferred.  Like
I said, it ended up being a bad NIC.  Otherwise, I tried/experienced exactly
what you have described.  New card cleared everything up immediately.
