It definetly sounds like a driver problem BUT it is hard to tell...Make sure
when you are reinstalling newer drivers that you set it back to "standard
graphics display driver", then reset, then reinstall the new driver, If you
dont do that, things can get screwed up.
Either directx 7 or 8 is good, benchmarking 8a the score came down a little
in between 7 and 8, but no biggie.
What brand video card is it?
