Ok, Forgive me if im out of step , i missed a few posts, but it sounds like
your using a Matrox video card. If so let me know, im sure i know the
problem. The glitches your having now with the new setup is also directly
related to your video card if so. I went through the same nightmares with a
G-400 and all i can say is after extensive research and testing i sent the
video card back to matrox and the new one works great! I determined that the
glitch is within the prcessor of the video card not getting enough voltage
from the agp port and the card was getting over-run. This caused
flickering, shutdown glitches, OS not loading, I could go on forever till the
blue screen of death was purple.

Hope this helps!
