Hi there. I just wondered if anyone can help me in my efforts to daisy-chain
4 Panasonic CR-563-B CDROM drives. They have been installed in a tower
system, each with different id numbers, however when I boot the system using
SBCD.SYS in the config.sys file, all drives are identified as MSCD000. They
are given different drive letters by MSCDEX.EXE however, when I try to run
programs from one of the drives, I inevitably get a message telling me that
the drive is no longer available. This has led me to beleive that they
should each be assigned an identity like MSCD000, MSCD001, etc, etc... The
syntax I'm using has included:

device=c:\sb16\drv\sbcd.sys /d:mscd000 /p:220 /n:4    {on one attempt}

device=c:\sb16\drv\sbcd.sys /d1:mscd000 /d2:mscd001 /d3:mscd003 /d4:mscd004
/p:220 /n:4

The mscdex.exe line in autoexec.bat looks like:

mscdex.exe /d:mscd000 /d:mscd001 /d:mscd002 /d:mscd003

Any help at all would be appreciated...

TIA
