Hi John:

The motherboard manual only describes the clip on fan installation.
The fan has no manual included:} Just very vague instruction printed
 on the side of the box. Have you build this type of unit? There is no
 problem with this metal support under the motherboard? It has a pad
 on top of the support. My concern is shorting out the motherboard.
 This new type fan must be to reduce the chances of damaging the
motherboard when using a screwdriver with the clip on fans.
