I recently purchased a NEC MultiSync P1150 21" at a Market Pro Computer Fair
for $400. It is the clearest monitor that I have ever used. I thought that
it would be more blurry than my 17" MAG monitor since it was much larger and
the dot pitch was the same but the NEC is much clearer than the MAG. I find
it difficult to even look at the MAG now. Definitely look into NEC. This
has been one of my best purchases in the computer world. I hope this helps.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Monitor suggestions?

I'm planning to get a new monitor, probably 17".
(Certainly no more than one step in size up or
down from there.)

I'd like to get a good quality monitor, but it's not for
any special purpose (e.g., hardcore cad, true-color
graphics).

In the past, I've had good luck with viewsonic --- are
they still a good choice? Other suggestions for what
I should be looking at?

I'm not looking to get the rock-bottom cheapest, but
I do want to get value for the money I spend.

Thanks for any ideas.
