This a most difficult question and the suggestions that I am going to make
may or may not work. Both of these utilities have the ability to retrieve
and save data from failing or damage storage media.  PowerQuest's Lost and
Found, http://www.powerquest.com/products/index.html, and Media Tools,
http://www.atl-datarecovery.com/software.htm. There are trial versions of
each product and this easily beats paying the enormous hourly cost to have
someone do it for you. HTH. :-)
