Double check your driver make sure you have the right one...if this is
right...check your device mgr for any conflicts...if this is
right....un-install the driver & re-install it again...you can do this &
sometimes it works just by going to device mgr deleting it & then doing
a refresh & re-installing the driver at that time...good luck!!

Hello

Today I added an 'Ultra ATA/100 IDE Controller card PCI' to my Windows
XP
Pro system.

The card was recognised by XP and configured without a glitch! ...
I've
attached a CD Rom to it and everything works fine.

However! .... when I shut the PC down it hangs at the 'Windows
shutting
down' screen .... I take the card out and it closes down OK so it is
definite caused by the IDE card.

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

TIA ... Mick
