hi,

On an Acer Aspire Mid Tower Computer with an AT Power Supply and Main
Board, there is an extra cable running from the Power Supply to the
MainBoard. It has 2 or 3 pins and connects right next to the P8 and P9. I
don't have the System here right now that's why I'm not sure of the pins.
It has something to do with the Power Management and the System doesn't
start if it's unplugged. The machine shuts down similar to an ATX ( don't
need the switch) and I was wondering if there is a way to bypass this as
the Motherboard is shot and I don't think the replacement has the socket.

 System has Win95b

Any help appreciated.
