I'm not sure what you mean by "fax only" (and that's probably why no one
else answered).

The 520 itself does whatever it was designed for.  You can not disable any
of those functions.  The software which connects the PC to the 520 *might*
be modular and allow you to install only certain capabilities (but I doubt
it).  I would imagine that it is basically the same software that comes
with it's "big brother", the 3100, and there are no options within the
"suite"

But why would you have an "all in one" machine and not want to take
advantage of it's full capabilities?
