Hi

I added a Seagate ST3243A with 1024 Cylinders, 12 Heads, 34 Sect
and 214MB. The drive was pulled out of a machine at Lucent Technologies
and given to my son. It worked fine as the primary master, but then I
changed the jumpers and tried to use it with my existing primary master
(Western Digital Caviar EIDE 850 Meg) and the Seagate as the primary
slave.

The bios auto recognized it but WIN98 took eons to load and just hung
forever. We pulled the Seagate drive back out and WIN98 runs as it did
prior to adding the drive, okay. Was it this drive or did I do something
wrong?
