I just recently have a monitor die. It wasn't very old, 13 months, but I
figured that it was just one of those things and went out and bought another
monitor. This one only lasted two days, maybe a total of seven hours, before
it died also. Both monitors were energy star compliant and both act
generally the same after there death. The green on LED will just barely
blink anlong with a faint ticking sound, kind of like a small spark arcing.
The monitors were of two seperate manufactures.
My question is were should I look for a cause to this problems whereas both
moniotrs died aparently the same way. Could the problem be a defective video
card sending some kind of weird signal or a faulty surge supressor. Nothing
else plugged into the supressor has developed any problems, could only one
of the outlets have developed a problem.
The problems occurred about two weeks apart, whereas it was that long before
I was able to get another monitor
Any help and direction would be grteatly appreciated. Don't want to lose
another monitor

TIA
Rob Shane
