When I view a catalog listing of a tape using Win XP Backup utility, I
sometimes see a red exclamation mark (!) on a folder. Does anyone know what
this means? I looked in the help file, searched the Microsoft knowledge
base, and tried a search on Google with no results. Since the software is
written by Veritas, perhaps Veritas backup uses the same display.

A related question has to do with the backup utility. I tried the eval
version of Stomp Software BackupMyPC, but its interface is quite different
than that of the XP backup utility. I like the XP version much better. The
only reason for switching from the standard XP version is that it does not
always handle tapes as well as an older version of Backup Exec that I also
have. Is there a backup utility that will write to 4mm tape that I should
look at?

Thanks for any input.

Peter
