George, I didn't see any replies to your post so I'll dive in with my 2c.

It's not clear from your message whether you expect to be able to burn these files in their native .dbx format or whether they'll be converted to text in the process (they won't)

But it shouldn't be a problem to simply copy the .dbx folders to CD - after all, they're only a collection of 0's and 1's, just like any other computer file.

And if all you want to do is back up your mail it should work fine. Just do a search for '.dbx' (no quotes) and you'll see where the files are stored. Note the path and kick off your burning program. To later retrieve the stuff is a bit messier - the best way would be to copy them back off the CD to a temporary location, then go into Outlook Express (Tools\Options\Maintenance\Store Folder) and temporarily change the location of the message store to the temporary folder.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Burn Outlook Express Folders to CD's

  Hi
Is there any way to burn Outlook Express folders and files (emails) to CD's directly? I have too many files to copy each file individually to a word processor.
  Thank you in advance.
