A HP server power supply has to be replaced.
Is it possible to use a generic power supply to replace the dead HP power
supply.

These are the markings on the HP power supply
----
Output
+5V 29.0A MAX
+12V 4.0A MAX
(7.0A 15SEC)
+3.3V 16A MAX
-12V 0.5A MAX
-5V 0.5A MAX

Markings on a generic power supply,
----
Output
+5V 20.0A
+12V 8.0A
-5V 0.5A
-12V 0.5A

Both of them have the same connectors/size...

Thanks...
Best Regards,
