        I have used a CR-563, and mine  was from 1994. It is 2x and NOT
IDE.
        It plugs into the CB sound card ONLY, and the sound card has no
IDE.
        Right after mine they put both interfaces on sound card, then
removed
        the Panasonic interface shortly  after that.           (Good
luck).
