I'm proud to announce that I've just completed my first real project: a
friend gave me a mobo and processor, so I went
from: IBM PS/1 386SX/25, 10MB RAM, 129MB HDD, 3 1/2" floppy, Win3.1
to: New case/power supply, 486DX/40, 20 MB RAM, same HDD, same 3 1/2",
CD-ROM, tape backup, and Win95
-- and the contraption actually works!!. My question is about cabling and
identifying and extra HDD. [BTW: Next project will be a "real" upgrade :) ]

Since I used the hdd out of the 386SX/25 I upgraded from, it is still only
129MB... a rather weak link in the new set-up. The same friend has a 500+MB
hdd he'll give me. The 40-pin ribbon cable has two connectors on it, and
those are being used by my current hdd and the CD. I'd like to ADD this
second hdd to the mix (as opposed to simply replacing the current one). Can
I simply purchase a new ribbon cable with 3 connectors?
