Have you scanned for viruses or trojans lately?

I've a 2.8 GHz, P4, 512 DDR-RAM, 80 GB system. Recently, the system seems to
restart itself for no appearance reason. Also, sometimes while doing some
work on my computer, the display change color by itself. It seems to have a
life by itself. I'm puzzled. Anyone can help will greatly appreciated.
