Somebody else may help you find a replacement, but for a physical repair I
would first try epoxy. If that did not work, after filing off the epoxy, I
would use fiberglass. You can get a fiberglass repair kit for about $10 at
an auto supply store (such as AutoZone). The advantage of the fiberglass is
that the fiberglass will reinforce the epoxy. In either case, you may need
to clamp the screen together until it sets.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Acer Travelmate 800 - Help please

Hi,
I was wondering if ya'll could help me. I have a Acer Travelmate 800
laptop that my son broke the screen on. I took it in to the computer
guys and they found a new screen to install in it. When they were
installing it they broke the frame? that holds the screen in place.
When your looking at the screen its broken at the bottom left corner and
goes from that corner of the screen to the outside of the frame. (Clear
as mud?) My question is: They glued it back together and its not
holding. When you try to open the laptop it hangs up and its just a
matter of time before it really breaks. Can you recommend a way to
repair this? They looked for a new/used screen frame and could not find
one. I've checked ebay and several other sites looking for a Acer 800
that someone was parting out and I can't find one. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Regina Long
